The girl looked at me and then continued to brush her hair in the mirror. Every time I would put my head down to bite a piece of my sandwich; she would look at me to make sure that I wasn’t looking at her stare at me. Even though, she didn’t say any thing the way that she looked at me expressed that her sociological perspective was that I was weird. Next, a trio of girls walked inside of the restroom. They looked at each other and burst into laughs. One of the girls recognized me from class and asked me, “Girl, What are you doing? Why are you eating in the restroom?” I did not respond at the moment although, I really wanted to tell her this for my sociology class. This was a complicated task for me to do because I have a reputation to up hold at school. In my society, as a whole, we have shaped the idea that eating in the restroom is a bad thing. I took my self out of everyday norms and looked at this in a brand new perspective.
