Should we raise genetically modified food? This questions have been argued for a long time. I am going to analyze the pro and cons of the Genetically Modified food. One of the pros of genetically modified food is a better taste, increased the nutrition of the food, resistance to disease and pets, and faster output of crops. The cons of the genetically modified food isn’t 100% safe because it violate the law of natural growth. What is genetically Modified food? Genetically Modified foods are created by genetic modification/engineering techniques in a way that does not occur naturally by mating and/or natural recombination. Why are Genetically Modified foods produced? According to the World Health Organization, the main reason for creating Genetically Modified is to improve crop protection to increase productivity and decrease the cost of production. The world population has topped 7 billion people and is predicted to double in the next 50 years. Growing the genetically modified that the farmers can grow more food on less land. In 1995, the Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) Potato was approved for cultivation, making it the first pesticide producing crop to be approved in the USA.
