There has been a controversy, discussing that using genetically enhanced foods, ultimately risking the lives of millions or benefiting them. Genetically engineered food was created to enhance food, by adding supplements that can help fight cancer and other beneficiaries with eating them. However, in the short run genetically engineered food products have harmed various individuals and their lives already. Genetically engineer food has been design to improve health by adding supplementaries that will benefit millions of civilians. “In the United States people have been eating genetically engineered food since approximately the 1990’s, according to Ackerman, Jennifer”(source 1). Susan Bassard (source 2) states “The rise in many diseases associates with GM foods”. Every time an ordinary person eats a genetically engineer food they are risking their health status. Studies have demonstrated that a GMO based diet has been proven to evoke organ damage.The biggest health concern, according to(Source 4) excerpt from “Are Biotech Foods Safe to Eat?” is Allergens.
