It should not be considering as an important element, but a secondary element in the education of children. Parents or teachers should have a better knowledge about the electronic device they expose their children to. Bill Gates said: “Technology is just a tool. In terms of getting the kids working together and motivating them, the teacher is most important” (Chakravarti). Teacher should help young children to use the computer very efficiently. They have to teach student how to do scientific research. It is not the time spent in front of the screen that help young children to learn. Parents and teachers should not rely on the electronic devices for teaching children or student. It is the way in which electronic devices are used. For instance, the internet offers children or students the capacity to reach enormous bases of information. Children do not get into any physical activities and exercises, and they start getting weight. They do not have enough hour of sleep. For instance, children are still in front the screen of electronic devices on their bed instead of sleeping. Increased duration of media exposure and the presence of a television, computer, or mobile device in the bedroom in early childhood have been associated with fewer minutes of sleep per night (Cespedes et al.,1993). The sleeping time is very important in the health of young children. They absolutely have to sleep for at least 8 hours. The time spend in front of the screen do not have to affect the sleeping time.
Time spent in front the screen decreases the interaction between children and their parents. For example, when television is on, children and parents do not communicate. Chassiakos explained that the more face-to-face interaction children have with mothers and other adults, especially eye contact, the better for the brain development of infants (CNN). Children have to spend more time interacting with their parents and other members of the family than in front the screen of electronic devises. Children have to learn how to social by face-to-face interactions.
I believe that the time children spend in front of electronic devices should optimize in order to minimize the risk young children are exposed to when they spend
