Did you know that approximately 1.5 million United States women with unwanted pregnancies choose abortion each year? That means out of the average 6 million pregnancies each year, 1.5 million end in abortion. Abortion is a procedure to terminate a human pregnancy, they are often performed before 28 weeks of pregnancy. There are 2 types of abortion methods. The first being a medical abortion procedure where you take a combination of medicine to a cause a miscarriage. The second method being a surgical abortion procedure. There are several types of surgical procedures. Some people believe that abortion is wrong but many believe that it should be a woman 's decision. Statistics show that more people are for abortion than against it. Sometimes women feel as if abortion is their only option. 80% of women having abortions are single and financially unable to care for a child. The supreme court rules abortion legal in all fifty states with restrictions after they were brought the Roe V. Wade Case. Roe V. Wade was a case to make abortion legal in all fifty states after a young woman named Norma McCorvey wanted and abortion because she couldn 't properly care for the child and also did not have the money to travel to New York or California, the only states that abortion was legal in at the time.
