What is your biggest fear? For most kids, it's monsters or bugs. For others, it's presentations. Research shows about 1.8 million kids under the age of 18 have anxiety disorders. How do teachers expect a kid with anxiety to do an oral presentation in front of the whole class. That's like trying to make pigs fly, even though they can't. People without anxiety say it's no big deal and just to imagine everyone in their underpants. They don't realize how serious anxiety can be for some people. They need to be able to see where they went wrong so they can help the students. If they don't have anything to go by to do the presentation, then they could have just listened to someone else present and copy them. Some people even learn better when they actually see it on paper. Seeing things on paper also makes it easier on the teachers. Not being able to see what you need to present next, could make you lose your train of thought.
