Dear Emily, I heard you don’t know what religion to choose, so I please find below a report that I thought could help explain them to you to help you with your decision.
Introduction to the Religions:
Christianity is one of the largest religions in the world today and the key belief of this religion is focussed around the life of Jesus of Nazareth.
The main source which tells us about the life of Jesus are the Gospels which are four books written by different authors after the death of Jesus and these then became the first four books of the New Testament.
The practices for this religion differ by denomination, but the most common practices include a Sunday worship service, the study and reading of the Scriptures.
Jesus chose two rites to be observed in His Church and the first of these is Baptism which is the admission into the Church. The second of these rites is Holy Communion which is also known as the Lord’s Supper. Jesus Christ, on the night before he was crucified gave bread to His apostles saying, that it was his body and then a cup of wine, saying it was his blood. He wanted all his followers to partake in this and in most churches this is practiced. When Christians gather they each take some bread and a sip of grape juice, remembering Christ 's death for them, and receiving His strength by faith in their hearts.
