The three Abrahamic religions – Judaism, Christianity and Islam ¬¬¬– all have one thing in common, the nature of monotheism. Judaism innovated the idea of one God about 3000 years ago, with the Israelites. Though it was restricted to the people of Israel, this was the first time a monotheistic religion came into play. Worshipping the same God of Israel, Christians were the second monotheistic believers. The teachings of Jesus Christ of Nazareth were next to become revolutionary.…

Although fate and destiny have a similar connotation, fate represents the preordained course of your life that will occur in spite of your actions, and destiny represents predetermined events within your life that you take an active course in shaping. Christianity and Islamic religion represent different opinions on fate and personal destiny based on belief in different gods, and the location from which each religion originated. The religion of Christianity began with God coming to earth through a human form know as Jesus Christ. Everyone “is born with a tendency to sin, and this sin, whether it’s large or small, separates people” from God (Wagner). Through God’s love for everyone, Jesus Christ died pined to a cross for the sin of all people.…

From their origins up until 1500, Islam and Christianity both grew a lot, their attitudes toward merchants and trade also evolved. Both Christians and Muslims were against trading, due to its dishonest and overly prosperous nature, but each also tried to justify it. This desire for justification led to changes in theologies and beliefs as time progressed. Christians changed their negative views toward trade as time progress while muslims views remained negative, even though the Qur’an is more accepting of merchants. Also these two religions strive to make their god(s) pleased with them and try to organize a closer relationship. These religions have continued on for centuries and have survived despite the fact that they have been threatened by others who had viewed those two religions lesser than their own (Dr T. F. Jemiriye). For Christianity despite them being slaughtered during the Roman Empire, they are one of the top religions in the world today, but why? Christianity vs. Islam During the Middle Ages, both Christianity and Islam began to be highly expressive of their religion via artwork. Although both Christianity and Islam came about in the Middle East during medieval times, they have totally different ideas on their god and its nature. Christians believe in a trinity, whereas Muslims do not. We can see the foundational beliefs of Christians in The Nicene Creed which states, “We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, […] We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God. […] We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. […] We believe in one holy Catholic and apostolic Church.”…
