Ritika Trikha wrote an article on managing your emotions in the workplace and she provides some of her own perspective, but the majority of her article provides examples that from excerpts from other articles or information from studies. Within her article, there was valuable tips on keeping emotions under control, some science and studies that were conducted to help determine what are causations, and listed exercises to help tame your mood. In Robbins, (2015, pp. 90-91) we learn that emotions are intense feelings that are directed at someone or something and moods are feelings that tend to be less intense than emotions and that lack a contextual stimulus. Here, Trikha (2012) talked about the founder of Lifetime Behavioral Health and described ways that would help keep your mind focused while dealing with issues that may have you on edge. When you are succumbed to the worry of uncertainty, the best thing to do is to take a deep breath and try relaxing your muscles. Sources and moods of emotions, just like feeling anxious, can come from a variety of things. Influences such as personality, time of the day, days of week, weather, stress, social activities, exercise, age, and even sex of the individual can attribute to the way they deal with stressful situations. While the influences have a legit effect on how a person reacts, we must be aware that there are some influences that can give an illusory correlation.
