The Martian film has got suspense, action, heart, and humor, and the ending is really satisfying. Definitely, people will walk out of the movie houses and talk it up to their friends."

Most film analysts expected The Martian would do $45 million worth of business as it goes into the weekend. The Martian's numbers fall just short of "Gravity's" $55.8 million debut, however, there were a number of facts that hindered 'The Martian' from pushing over the Gravity. Jodie Foster leans on two of the most revered Hollywood actors, George Clooney and Julia Roberts, to bring her new showy drama, “Money Monster”, to the forefront. Despite the stars and the pertinent topic, which targets Wall Street and its financial uncleanness, Ms. Foster stubbornly opted for a standardized approach that frustrates both our expectations and the film’s ability to find a proper voice of its own. We don’t have to wait too long for the action to begin, but that same action doesn’t take us beyond an insubstantial soap opera.…

However, centuries later, space travel has become a reality, and with that, society embraced the science fiction elements often found in movies today. In 2015, Ridley Scott, director of the 1979 film Alien, released The Martian, another renowned movie to occur outside of Earth. After a ferocious storm on Mars, the crew abandoned the station, unintentionally leaving a wounded—but alive—Mark Watney behind. Watney, played by Matt Damon, then colonizes Mars by growing potatoes and discovers how to communicate with NASA back on Earth to plan a rescue mission.…

To start off, I want to say that I loved this film. I never had an exact preconceived attitude towards this film other than hearing it was one to watch. Also, I absolutely adore Michael Cera and knowing what goofy characters he has played in the past helped me quickly accept and relate to the quirky characters we see in Juno. It is obvious that the explicit meaning of this film is the story of a teenage girl who gets pregnant.…

$33,262,416 may seem like a big number to some, but not to Tim Burton, expert director, screenwriter, and producer. This number is simply the average box office gross for his films. Many people have enjoyed his films throughout the decades because of how odd they are compared to the normal chick-flick or adventure movie. After several months, they discover Mark Watneys still alive; but standed over two hundred million kilometres away. The way they handle this situation is extraordinary, because billions of dollars was spent, in an effort to save one person. While I believe that space exploration is very important, the argument can be made that the money could be better spent on all the problems we have back on earth, but the story is based a few years in the future and many of said problems; have probably been fixed. I think this novel is an optimistic view of the future, where they have deemed it necessary to spend massive amounts of time and resources to get people to Mars. The events of this book happen in the third mission to Mars and is at a stage where the public are beginning to lose interest, but in the process of trying to rescue…
