Some things I have learned are the "respectful" model and what each letter represents, and that the professional should teach the clients to promote themselves educationally and socially. It is important for the professional to help the client learn their strengths so there is something positive for the client to look forward to. Some information we need to gather from the client is what ethnic background do they go by and what they identify themselves? The professional should understand a person's cultural, ethnic, or racial background and how it affects their psychological development. If the client is a child living in a non-biological home then the professional should ask questions about the home. Some questions may be about the safety
