It became pop culture, it became democratized, a way of coping. The lower class used brutality as a way to cope, and succumb to the stereotypes frequently used against them. Violence, and its’ vast amount of entertainment, became popular especially to the upper class because it was foreign. Therefore, the interpretation of violence should be changed. In order to enact this, social change is required, which is done by changing the perception. Perception can easily be changed, Halberstam believed it could be changed through educating the youth. Although educating the youth would change the perception of imagined violence, it’s not radical enough. Granted that this is an acceptable start, marginalized groups should be eradicated. Marginalized groups can be removed through; evaluating resources, punishing violence, and finding the root of the imminent
