Everyone gets stressed out because of some stressors in their lives, but not everyone knows how to deal with their stressors. Phyllis Korkki, authors of the article "Ready to Snap at Work? Get in Touch With Your Inner Animal” talks about stress and how you deal with it. Korkki talked about how she was stressed out because of her several assignments and how she had anxiety because of the book she was writing. She also explained how she reached out to get help to learn how to cope with this stress. She mentioned that the techniques and the methods that she learned could help anyone who do know how to cope with stress. Stress also causes posture problems that Korkii took posture lessons to fix it. Also moving around helps not only with stress but with concentration too. In the quest to calm Korkii down, she learned that to do the best work, the one need to be moving or go for a way. Some people might view moving or walking as walking away or moving from the situation might seem as avoiding the situation but taking a break dose not hurt as long as the one has the intention to go back to the problem or the situation he or she are facing. It has been proven by researches that people perform better when they take breaks in between they are doing and according to Yerkes-Dodson Curve which state that optimal motivation and performance occurs in moderate levels of stress. A lot of stress can be bad and harmful but small amount of stress can motivate people enough to make them do things they were holding it back or they were too lazy to do it at the beginning. Stress is a process like a system and what we decide to do, and the outcomes. The conclusion of Korkii’s article is that everyone goes through stress and coping to it is not hard.
