As violent as the lyrics where they were just letting the public in on the struggles they went through to make it where they are now. As harsh as some of the lyrics and music videos where they were shedding light on what the conditions they lived in and the condition there people are still living. The artist back then mainly rapped about the struggle of the black man and the des domination they faced every day. Some of the big time artist back then where notorious B.I.G, Tupac, Snoop dogg, and NWA. All the artist back then had one thing in common to show the world how black are still degraded and the living condition they had been forced to live in. I feel as though the raps in the nineties rapped from the heart. They had pain and emotion in there lyrics. Tupac is probably the best example from the nineties.
