90s ----- Through the years there has been a evolution of music. In the 90s it was one of the most indescribable decades of all time. This era consisted of fashion statements, food, culture, and most importantly it was the years of awesome music. The music in the 90s was very smooth and romantic when it came to R&B. The rap music in the 90s was based on real stuff going on for example the NWA talked about the things that was going on in the world with African Americans. These years also consisted of the devastating attack on 9/11. The controversial election of George Bush and the nomination battle between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. So basically all these things going on, a lot of the current events didn’t really reflect on the music. Cartoons and TV were big. Also music became very diverse and the internet started to play a huge role. However based on the word usaged death was used the most in this era. And the other words like drugs was not used at all. Sex and bitch was just slightly mentioned in most songs within this era. This may be due to the fact that with everything going on a lot of the songs from the 00’s were fun dance songs, this was when Soulja Boy was big and songs like cranks that bat man were booming. There were some major musical talents in the 2000's. Amy Winehouse, The White Stripes, OutKast, and Eminem were especially memorable. So basically music wasn't as popular in the 00’s but of course still played a role in the era.
