Mental and physical health are both extremely important attributes to stay on top of for police officers, maintaining a healthy body will also help you maintain a healthy mindset, and that is important for a police officer or anybody for that matter. As of right now, I feel I am in a good mental and physical shape to not only meet the requirements for any police testing, and to maintain my health throughout my future career, but there is always room for improvement. The chart listed above is an IDEAL and perfect nutrition plan for myself for one day, that doesn’t always mean I follow it exactly. One thing that I can do better in regards to helping assist my nutritional intake is to give myself more time in the mornings, I always find myself rushed and never have time to enjoy a nice and healthy breakfast, this is a huge issue because this has carried throughout my life for a couple of years and I have recently just broken the habit of skipping breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, a morning meal filled with protein rich foods can give you more energy, increase your satiety (how satisfied you feel) and reduces your hunger throughout the day, this means that snacking and eating unnecessary foods that don’t fit your macros are not going to be as common as one would enjoy…
