Soldiers come back with PTSD, anger problems, depression, loneliness, and may easily panic if provoked (Animals, Pets, 2012). People are teaming up to help veterans cope with the problems that arise with war, and the less veterans feel alone the easier it will be to tackle the issues. Over time the medical field has come to see that telling veterans to adopt pets is helping them cope with post wars issues (Animals, Pets, 2012). “According to Igor Purlantov the use of animal therapy to treat PTSD has shown some very promising results with more than 80% of patients reporting reduced symptoms of PTSD thanks to animal therapy” (Animals, Pets, 2012). The causes of pets is greatly helping soldier return from wars and getting back into the normal routine of everyday life. Without people to fight wars, American wouldn’t have the same freedoms, and that is why the effects of owning a pet are so great. Pets give back affection, and at the same time they keep your body and mind on a routine, which helps veterans get over PTSD (Animals, Pets,
