The Emma Eccles Jones College of Education and Human Services has submitted a proposal for differential tuition effective summer semester 2016. We believe this is necessary to assure that we continue to offer nationally competitive programs to our students. The differential tuition funding will be used to for following critical need areas.
Accreditation We take pride that our programs are nationally accredited, enabling our students to obtain professional licensure in their varied discipline areas. Accreditation agencies have been increasing the requirements and data standards so that they can ensure that programs meet high quality standards where students are fairly charged and receive quality instruction and mentoring to achieve their educational aspirations. We are supportive of these requirements and are confident in meeting the quality and cost standards. However, we need to update our technology, data collection and analysis infrastructure so that we can prove the strength of our programming and our student’s success.
Compliance We must meet all the requirements that businesses meet for compliance with all the federal and state regulations. Additionally, we have many programs that are covered by the specific legislation of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and similar legislation.
