Communication is such a huge subject to cover. It has many subcategories from verbal to nonverbal, intrapersonal, interpersonal, transpersonal, small group, or public communication. Proper, safe, effective, and satisfactory healthcare is highly dependent on efficient communication. Nurses start our days with shift reports. And communicate each and every thing we do in documentation, communicating to others exactly what we have done. It can prevent or cause medical errors. As nurses, it is especially important because we are the main advocates for the patients, and communication is a good majority of our job. If we do not communicate with patients appropriately, we are unable to form that relationship with patients and unable to do our duties
