Poverty is affecting people all around the world because people are suffering/dying from diseases, children are not getting proper education, and crime is increasing in the society. All over the world, People are facing health problems and suffering from diseases that sometimes leads to death. Most infectious diseases are found in the areas where poverty is high. Student who suffer from poverty fail to show their good performance at school. Children who lives in low socioeconomic conditions have poor vocabularies that “raises the risk for academic failure” (Jensen) When they live in poverty, they don’t try their best to work hard at school. Words are most important to present a student 's thoughts and informations with their classmates. When children are not familiar with the words that the teacher uses at school, they do not want to read or feel as if school is not their place. As a result their vocabulary skills are not perfect compared to the other students. Students who went through poverty during preschool are less likely able to complete high school. The parents have hard time in supporting their children, since they do not have hope either. Students who suffer from poverty are often not motivated and have little efforts at school because of “lack of hope and optimism”. When a kid sees his family in a position where they fail to provide him with his needs, he might start to feel depressed and begin to lose hope. Hope is important when it comes to education because if you have hope it will push you towards your goal. People with hope will try to do their best, so they can reach their goal.
