As the years have gone on, poverty has become harder to stop as it keeps growing and growing. When citizens become poor, it happens throughout a cycle. Poverty starts out with Impoverished Communities which mean that the community could have dealt with war or something that completely demolished them. Next people have poor health. This could happen when people have a sickness and it spreads out to create an outburst. After that, people are less able to have the workforce, they are unable to work, to not gain any money to pay taxes or things that they need. Then it goes to decrease in human capital, viewed in terms of their value or cost of the country. Then we go to lower economic output/unemployment. When people get to this stage in the cycle, they basically will never be able to get out, of it will be very hard to redeem their living. Poverty is caused in many ways, but most people are in poverty because of a poor economy, weak economies in America have caused an increase in employment. Some companies have been forced to cut jobs or even close up their doors for business. Also, the lack of affording household, According to the National Low Income Housing Coalition, families across the country would need to earn a “housing wage” of $15.37 an hour to afford a two-bedroom apartment at the average fair market rent. Substance abuse is a big one when talking about poverty. Drug and alcohol effect 20% of the homeless population. A heavy drinker could also suffer other adverse economic effects like missed work, decreased job efficiency, etc. Children growing up in poverty are more likely to do illegal things like boys growing up in poverty are more likely to be arrested as adults and their female peers are more likely to give birth outside of marriage. Children who grow up in poverty, sometimes struggle with generational poverty. This creates a belief in children that they cannot change their circumstances. Another thing, children
