Allegations of police violence against minorities is a common occurrence in the culture of the united states today. For example Eric Garner. This man was choked to death for stopping a fight, and illegally selling cigarettes. But is this truly a crisis? Or is mass media picking and choosing what stories to publish. The goal of this research study is to determine if that police prejudice against minorities in California is truly a problem. Through the review of six articles relating to bias against minorities, and my own proposed research methods i am hoping to find out if there really is a problem with police use of force.

(3) What are the organizational constraints?”(Glasper 2006). The main focus of the study is four groups. The Washington Bureau of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, the National Black Police Association, the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives, and Black Cops Against Police Brutality. Three methodologies are used in this study. The first being interviews of both current and former leaders of the four groups. The second is a statistical analysis used to evaluate data relevant to the study. Finally they are comparing the interviews with the leaders to the statistics they have acquired. They show that in many more ways than just misuse of force. The purpose of my study is to determine if police are more likely to misuse force, when it comes to minorities. These studies all show in some way shape or form that minorities have already been abused. Whether it 's TH police officers getting less favorable shifts, and promotions when they are a minority, or the fear among the African American community of being on the receiving end of police violence. Therese people have already been abused, I 'm using this information to support my study to find if they are being abused in more violent
