Using the altercation between Michael Brown and former police officer Darren Wilson as a specific example, there are many cases that have differing accounts from the officer and other witnesses. With the use of body-worn cameras, all interactions between law enforcement and citizens can be recorded. Footage would prove to be beneficial in court and would be used as evidence for a jury to review during a trial. Not only could the recordings be reviewed during a trial, but footage could also prevent lengthy trials and investigations based on a false witness account. Whether an officer in question is new to the force, or an experienced police officer, any footage recorded can later be used for his evaluation. For example, if certain officers are constantly receiving complaints from the public, their footage can be reviewed and disciplinary action can be taken if necessary. Recordings could also be used to visually document the rights and wrongs of police procedure. With recordings such as these, new officers can be trained and given the first hand experiences without being out in the street. In short, the camera footage can better the work habits of law
