I was a girl from the people, what am I saying?, I was the people itself. We can’t stop to incarnate everything we are and that is always bigger than

“This work tells the night of transition of a beloved familiar of mine, on a night in a hospital. With no dramatic or compassionate intention, I created "La Noche" to amplify our separation and our unitive annihilation, like a song whispered in the ear of the one who goes, and the one who stays. The room itself was grand and ancient, with walls of rough hewn stone, polished granite floors, and a ceiling as high as ten men. There were eight long tables, the shortest on a raised dais along the far wall, and seven more set orthogonal to the first and extending to the entry. Sheaves of wheat and sprays of spring blooms adorned the walls, and cornucopias spilled fruits, nuts and candies onto each table. There were dancers, at least a dozen of them, draped loosely in silks of gold and rich green, ribbons of fabric that swayed as they swayed, dipped as they dipped, and fluttered about them as they spun. Along walls and in corners, on tables and among revelers, they danced in time to a rhythmic tune—singly and in pairs and trios, all moving with an agile grace, seducing guests with limber acrobatics and inviting smiles.…

Christian belief and practice in the poems by Ron Rash and Robert Morgan cause tension among human beings due to the human experience differing from how belief makes it out to seem. Belief causes the world to seem more perfect than what is understood through human experience and leads one to believe nothing bad can happen to a good person, although experience dictates that it happens daily. Tension can arise in many ways such as from experience dictating that earth’s vices are alluring and addictive, while belief interprets it as foul and rotten. Belief can also cause the world to seem much easier and just than what an individual may learn through human experience. One may too find tension in the ethereal and unseen aspects of belief that doesn’t…
