However, a number of people having cosmetic surgery is on the rise because the results make people believe that it will help people feel better about themselves. People adjusting to their new appearance can take longer than they expected because their lifelong image of themselves must also change, but might not turn out the way they wanted it to. Our generation is looking for a fountain of youth and a quick fix for their poor self images. No treatments have been proven to slow or reverse the aging process. However, beauty is a condition that each of us is born into that develops as a result of the maturation of our own self-awareness and physical features. Owning your own beauty begins with a basic understanding that you are indeed a beautiful human being, regardless of whether or not your outward appearance fits society’s ever-changing definitions of beauty. In other words, you can look beautiful in your own way no matter what anyone says.
Cosmetic surgery isn’t good for you. It has its pros and cons, but why not love yourself the way your are instead of trying to change yourself for society. As a society we need to benefit women and men as they age and not push them to feel that they have to go under the knife to look younger for society. Women and men are judged on their looks and then told their “looks” weaken over time, which leads them to believe they will be less appreciated as they age. No wonder women and men spend billions of dollars every year on cosmetic surgery to stop the “aging look” of life as time moves
