At the end of the year I knew exactly what that was, Unified for Uganda.
Unified for Uganda (U4U) is an official 501c3 non-profit organization that supports the education of destitute children in northern Uganda through the empowerment of global youth. I immediately identified myself with this organization and quickly became empowered to learn the importance of everything this organization stands for. Reaching my junior year, I was chosen by the director of U.S. involvement to become an intern for U4U. Without U4U, almost one-hundred children would not have the opportunity to receive an education. Seeing how grateful these children are to receive an education through letter writing has given me a greater appreciation of the life I have been given, especially my education.
At the conclusion of my junior year, the director of U.S. involvement was thoroughly impressed with my performance and I was hired as a second year intern entering my senior year of high school. As a second year intern I am given greater responsibility within the
