Personal Healthy Lifestyle Plan What does it mean to be healthy? Does it mean being buff and eating healthy? Well that is only part of the equation when it comes to being overall healthy. Over the last nine to ten weeks I have learned a lot about the human body and about myself as a human being. Taking this managing fitness concepts class has really opened my eyes up to what my body needs to survive, and be healthier down the road. The base of the whole class lies upon five main factors of health and wellness: physical, spiritual, social, intellectual and emotional. Without these important factors we could not function as a healthy human being. We will start out with the first of the five functions, physical. Being physically healthy is being able to maintain a healthy body by keeping it conditioned and properly rested to prevent injury. Working out is a perfect way to keep the body conditioned and improves our strengths to preform physically demanding labors as an athlete. We can go for runs, lift weights, ride bikes, aerobic activity and many other exercises that interest others. Another big thing when being physical is maintaining the body and not doing harm by pushing the limitations our bodies can handle. A perfect set of steps to follow a hard workout would be R.I.C.E. or rest, ice, compression, and elevation. This helps the muscles recover and be able to improve the condition of those muscles and joints so we can go out…
