I feel like I belong to the 2nd frontier, but maybe a little of the 3rd frontier. I remember as a child going camping during the summer in Atlanta with my aunts, at away camp, and in my own backyard. I loved being outdoors and would always come home with bruises and grass stains on my pants or legs. I don’t think I am quite in the 3rd frontier because I see that as the generations today who are in their childhood because they don’t go outside. When I babysit kids now, all they want to do its play video games or go on the computer. I remember as a little girl how it was such a big deal to be a part of girl scouts or boy scouts and how much fun we had when we would go outside and explore.

Nature to me is an escape from the busy life of a college student. As a child, it was a place to imagine my own world and adventure or a place to play lots of games with my friends until it was dinner time. Nature was a place to go without my parents telling me what to do, and a place I could escape to when
