The Beginning of Something New

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the Earth, but in 1776, Patriots created America an independent nation. It was almost as if we had re-found the Garden of Eden. Spirits were high and hearts were full, as free blood ran through the veins of the American colonists. Not only did the American Revolution win independence, but it paved a road and set a standard for minorities of every sort. We still feel it today, don’t we? I like to think that I am my fathers child, and I am not simply talking about my dad. I am talking about the men who started my family on this great nations soil. Whether we see ourselves directly impacted by them or not, we all feel that need to reap the benefits of what we sow.
