“ Stay back!” said my dad.

We were on the skyline at Lagoon. My dad was super paranoid. He is so afraid of heights. He acted like it was the Grand Canyon even though it was only 15 feet up! I know he was trying to protect me, but I believe he was being a little too over dramatic. That is how dads are. But you got to appreciate them.

“ Dad, there is a bar. I won’t fall.” I said like my little sassy self.

My mom was pregnant with my little sister so she couldn’t go on most of the rides. My dad and I went on most of the rides. Especially the spinny ones. We went on one ride that they called to most spinny of them all. I looked over to my dad.

“ Are you okay? You look like you’re sick.” I screamed. Everybody was screaming and he wouldn’t have heard me if I talked in my regular voice. As I said, he looked ill. As a matter of fact, He looked like he was about to vomit. Good thing the ride stopped just before he did.

I had a hard time choosing what I would want. I tried to devour a whole turkey leg, but I had no luck with that. After dinner I tried a churro for the first time and I said, “ This is the best thing I have ever had! This is so sugary and delicious!” I still love them now.

We went on a whole bunch of different rides, but my dad was too chicken to go on a couple of the “big and scary” rides. I loved all of them no matter how terrifying they were.

My favorite ride was The Bat. “ That was so awesome! Let’s do it again!” My dad didn’t want to do it again. He was still nauseous from the twisty ride. I tried to nudge him to go but I had no luck with that either.

“ That is one of the last rides I am going on. I can’t take it any more.” He said.

Lagoon was amazing and now I go every other year. That time I went I loved it so much that I wanted to go the next day. I was so young, so I didn’t know how much it was. Even though my mom couldn’t go on the rides I had an awesome time with my
