He does not like to go outside, go to the store, or even play in the dirt. As long as he has his iPad, television, or his Nintendo DSi then he is fine wherever he is. Luke is only eight years old and is overly obsessed with electronics. He has grown to know so much about them that it is almost scary. Another issue that Children face with having this gaming addiction could be that they dedicate more time to their games than they do to their homework. My nephew always makes the statement “I’ll do my homework when I beat my score, I promise.” Addiction to something also takes away the time that you may spend with your family. If you’re sitting in the living room with your family having a conversation and someone is sitting there on their phone it is disrespectful. So, why teach your children to do it so young?
When my nephew has friends over, and they ask him what they’re going to do he always tells them they can either watch the television, or play games on the iPad.
