Perfect Job Application Essay

Improved Essays
Since I loved kids and helping people I attended the University of Iowa to be a PA. I thought a Physician Assistant would be the perfect job for me because I could care for people, and still be able to have a family when I grow up. I got multiple scholarships to play basketball from different schools, and I decided Iowa was the best choice because they were a great nursing school, were pretty good at basketball, and they weren’t super far from my family. I got my undergraduate in biology and then I studied 2 years at the hospital nearby. My basketball career ended with a loss to Syracuse in the sweet sixteen at March Madness. My four years of college were amazing and totally worth it. I met many friends, including my teammates and roommates.

It all started in senior year of high school, a moment where, because of my lack of effort at certain times of my teenage life, I was left with very few options regarding where I could go pursue my education after graduating high school. It is important to emphasize that although I wasn’t sure what exactly I was capable of, I was sure that I was capable of great things and high school failed to inspire me to become the best person I could be. I was disoriented yet self-assured. Luckily, thanks to some thoughtful people who guided me in the right moment, I was able to get in to the Macklin Business Institute at Montgomery College and I was given the opportunity to try out and get recruited to play for MC soccer team. The experiences that followed…

Personal Statement I consider myself to have been an active and hard working student during my previous educational stages. My interest in chemistry dates back to secondary school, I've been interested in chemistry, Mathematics and Physics, I wanted to pursue a degree that combines all or most of these, so I chose the Mathematical Sciences department and obtained my High School degree with an overall grade of 99.87 %. After that, I continued my studies in the faculty of petroleum and mining engineering at Suez University, where I had the opportunity to be exposed to the full range of chemical engineering courses like chemical engineering basics, unit operations, equipment design and other courses as listed on my transcript. Finally, I obtained my Bachelor`s degree in…

Growing up in a military family never allowed me to settle down and call a single place home. Starting with what felt like a new life every four years, with new people in an unfamiliar place definitely helped to shape me into the person that I am today. The idea that I was given in fourth grade of moving from Germany back to the United States was difficult to believe, but the idea of moving there with only my mother was unfathomable. Yet after a short time, what seemed to be unimaginable was fairly simple. I was able to adjust quickly; I soon graduated middle school and was accepted into Wayne School of Engineering.…

I joined Relay For Life because my overzealous biology teacher kept pushing it and I was an eager freshman wanting to pad my application for college. I didn’t know that Relay For Life was apart of the American Cancer Society, I didn’t know that my high school was one of the 150 high school’s in the nation to have their own relay but I knew, the minute the lights went down and the luminaria lit up the track, that I wanted to be apart of this. Even as a freshman I knew I wanted to go to college. I worked hard for my grades but in my second semester I realized that grades were only one part of the equation that colleges looked at.…

From a young age, I always loved playing football; being out on the field is one of the best feelings ever. The adrenaline, hearing the crowd cheering, scoring touchdowns; it a rush that goes through my veins and I cannot get enough of it. I would play because I enjoyed it, but I had no idea how the simple game of football would change my life for the better. My previous work experience has exposed me to a variety of team dynamics and I would describe my exposure as very positive. My love for connecting with people has been a major factor in my overall employment success, such as, two management roles before reaching my twenty’s and also a fulfilling career in the financial industry for nine years. Working in a customer service role for the last 14 years I have faced struggles with communication, as well as developed positive skills to work effectively with others. One of the most essential elements I have learned from working as a Financial Advisor is how to build trust with people. I firmly believe this is key to any successful relationship, rather an employment relationship or otherwise.…
