Pedro Rodrigues Filho, also known as the Killer Petey is recognized as the serial killer of serial killers. He earned this title by being a lifelong vigilante. He did not kill for pleasure, he just loved to get revenge. His victims were not the usual vulnerable type, he would rather kill those that needed justice (criminals), albeit his own interpretation of justice. He was born on a farm in Santa Rita do Sapucaí in Brazil. His childhood was incredibly hard as he had to endure the domestic abuse bestowed to him by his barbaric father. The epitome of the father’s abuse is evident when he fractured Filho’s skulls while he was still in his mother’s womb. Growing up in that brutish and sadistic environment had a great impact on Filho’s mental health. …show more content…
They went on to live together until she was taken hostage and killed by some gang members. In search of revenge for his friend’s death, he tortured and murdered several gang members. Before he turned 18, he left a trail of 10 bodies and several others fatally injured. His illicit actions had still gone unrecognized by the law enforcement system. Soon after turning 18, Filho’s father was put in jail for butchering his wife with a machete. This led for Killer Petey’s barbarism to surface as he stabbed his father 22 times before ripping his heart out and eating a piece of it. Finally, Filho was arrested on May, 24, 1973 which led him to be sentenced in prison. The prison was more of a haven for him rather than hell as it was filled with the most notorious and dangerous criminals which tempted his vigilant personality. Whilst incarcerated, he killed at least 71 inmates, but he himself has claimed to kill a 100 prisoners. he was sentenced 400 years in prison for his crimes yet, he was released on April 24, 2007 as the Brazilian Justice System has the maximum sentence of only 30 years.
