Today the planet faces an immense problem , overpopulation. Overpopulation is not something that is fictional, it’s real and it’s happening. There are some who believe that overpopulation is not a problem ,and that we as a human race can handle it. It’s true that as humans we can handle most things because we adapt to our situation whatever it may be, by letting it change us or we change it. However this particular situation, overpopulation is something that can and will conquer us. To find balance, I believe that something will happen , a catastrophe on a global scale that will eradicate the extra human bodies. Overpopulation is problematic because it will cause further problems like poverty, shortage of resources, and affect the environment around us. Let us address the first problem, poverty in the world. Poverty represents many elements, lack of money, no home or food, and hardly any possessions, one can call their own. There are still too many people in the world today who are in poverty. According to the UN Population Fund, poverty is influenced by population growth, which has a significant impact on a country 's development and prospects for raising the living standards for the poor (Smith 2). Imagine how many people there are who are in poverty, far too many who have no home, money, or food. With the incoming of three billion people in the next fifty to sixty years, the number of people who cannot feed themselves will be in the billions. There are a lot more…
