The main points are that the family is very embarrassing leading Bingley and Jane to not work out at first(they do in the end). Lydia marries an awful man named Wickham that really only wants sex from 15 yr old girls. And Elizabeth ends up with Darcy after calling him proud. Darcy helps Elizabeth realize her vanity and prejudice. The novel pokes fun at marriage and societal rules/regulations. She gets angry when people don’t do what society tells them to do. Mr. Collins is the Bennet’s cousin who will inherit the bennet’s house after their father dies. He attempts to marry Elizabeth but fails (funny proposal - see p&p folder for more). The book ends in a perfect little bow with the to eldest married, lydia and wickham out of the picture, and the rest of the family in good
