Operations Management is a fundamental and vital part of any organization from a niche market to a multi-million dollar conglomerate. It aim its focused on effectively turning inputs to outputs and by doing that obtaining a competitive advantage among everyone that is in that market. In fact, Forbes magazine reported in 2011 that about three quarters of all CEOs came from an operations background. Not all these CEOs studied operations in school; only some of them did.

There are some traits that a skilled Operation Manager should possess 1. Understanding Customer Needs – By knowing what makes your customers happy only then u can implement different measure that would ensure their satisfaction and also you can instructor teach your subordinate how to take care of them. 2. Proper Communication – A good Operations Manager knows how to communicate on many levels with all types of people. The ability to get your message across to your staff, your superiors and, most importantly, your customers is an essential skill that will be put to the test each day. Using a wide array of communication vehicles, including verbal, written and body language techniques, will allow you to establish a relationship with each audience. 3. Motivates the team – knowing how to develop strong teams and build strong relationships the people around you to do their job is very important instead of just bossing them around. No-one does their work well if they are not motivate, if they are not cared for. It shows that you care their individual needs. 4. Understanding the Company’s Financial Position- One of the reason Company’s declare bankruptcy earlier is because of poor Operation Management. A successful operations manager should know how to prepare sales projections and expense budgets. They must be able to know what they can and cannot spend excessive and unnecessary money one and to reduce
