In 1971 25th march the ruthless and brutal armed operation undertaken by the Pakistani army. Pakistani rulers curb the movement of the freedom loving Bengalis rulers. By the military authority was termed as “Operation Searchlight”. Because of this operation many students leaders, Bengali intellectuals arrest or kill the distinguished Awami League leaders in the main cities of the then East Pakistan including Dhaka, the Bangali personnel’s of military, that time radio station and telephone was exchange and thereby to take over the control of the province of East Pakistan by ruthlessly the non –cooperation movement headed by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. 25th march to middle of May military operations were being taken under “Operation Searchlight”

But 25th march in the evening the Awami League chief Sheikh Mujibur Rahman having no positive result in his discussion with President Yahya Khan and call to the people to prepare themselves for an all-out struggle .On that night independent loving Bengalis peoples created resistance in various place in Dhaka. Mjor Siddique Salek , and AAK Niazi commented tha the Bengalis create strong resistance the Pakistan forces in order to reach various place of Dhaka changed the schedule of the operation one day ahead. In that time in a white paper published on 5th August by the Government of Pakistan, it has been mentioned that Awami League had a plan to stage an armed revolution of dawn of 26th March. The heinous attitude of the soldiers, although generally supported by their superiors, alarmed the regional high command of the Pakistani army .Pakistani Lt. General Niazi says that, “He will change the race of Bengalis”. So how the situation would stopped when the commander of Pakistani army himself a rapist and he insisted his armies to do such things.
A systematic collection of statistical data claims that, three million people died and at least 200,000-400,000 women had been raped and among them many of the women died. But the Pakistani sources claim the number is much lower, though having not completely denied rape
