If it is an emergency then it will be left to the fire department, police, and hospitals to respond as needed. In the instance of a disaster, we will have first responders readily available along with any other volunteer agencies such as the American Red Cross.
Sequence of Actions:
1. Let the Okaloosa County emergency management team know about the disaster ahead.
2. Alert the citizens of Okaloosa County that a disaster is immanent.
3. Prepare to evacuate everyone in immediate danger.
4. Establish temporary shelters, supply water, food, and any medical supplies that will be needed.
5. Notify, if not already informed, the private and public agencies that are willing to help during the relief and recovery periods.
6. Alert any other counties or states for assistance if needed.
