Obesity means having too much body fat or you are overweight. It’s a disorder involving excessive body fat that increases the risk of health problems.The ancient Greeks discovered obesity. Obesity is classified as having a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30 or greater. Obesity is when it consumes more calories than they really need. There is a 68.5 % of people that are overweight, 34.9% of people that are obese and a 6.4 % of people that are extremely obese.
Being overweight or obese are both terms for having more body fat than what is considered healthy. Both are used to identify people who are at risk for health problems from having too much fat. However, the term obese generally means a much higher amount of body fat than overweight. Everyone needs some body fat for energy, heat insulation and other body functions. But having too much can lead to serious health problems. The more body fat you have, the greater your risk for diabetes, kidney disease, heart disease and other problems.
The symptoms of being obese are when they have trouble sleeping, shortness of breathing, varicose veins, skin problems caused by moisture that accumulates in the folds of your skin, pain in the back of joints. Obesity can increase your high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high triglycerides levels and can cause diabetes. When a person is overweight or obese they usually go see a doctor who can help them get rid of their body weight, they also have a smelly odor when they are obese, and tend to…
