IntroductionAs the owner of any long term care facility you want to be the best, you want to beinnovative and show what you can do; In Quebec, Canada, they’re doing just that. Theyhave devised a Five-Step Innovation Plan, as stated in the article.DevelopmentIn this article they have expressed that they were having problems in the nurseassistants’ first initial training. With this, they have decided to implement a Five-Stepplan. They would first, Identify collective strategies by describing the day-to-day workload and responsibilities they will have. Second, build the innovation plan by making anew plan for all starting and current employees. Next, they would devise their work teamby giving them the freedom to choose who their work team would be. With thisfacility I agree with them on the fact they want to put their employees into teams so theycan build onto their team skills. Although, I disagree with them choosing teams; in lifeyou don’t always get what you want, you’re eventually going to have to work with peopleyou don’t necessarily enjoy and it’s better off to show them now rather than wait. For Further StudyI would like to know how all these changes have bettered the facility and how it haseffected the relationships between the nurse assistant and the resident, but alsobetween nurse assistants. I would like to know what positive and negative affects thispan had on their facility.ConclusionIn conclusion, the facilities of Quebec, Canada have made cognitive changes withintheir facility towards their internal and external patrons.
