SAS uses non-pay incentives, also known as perk o fringe benefits, such as Frisbee golf, biking trails, on staff nurses and dietitians to help employees with their work-life balance. The companies know that by show employees they care about them and that they are will to help them to improve their quality of life that their employees will be happies and more productive. As a result their turnover rate should be less than a company whose employees feel as if their company does not care about them.
Salesforce.com uses vacations to motivate employees. The company offers employees vacations as a reward to their top sellers. The company realizes that employees are greatly motivated when they great compensated for it either by financial rewards

They create an environment that is caring, comfortable, attractive, and safe. The company shows that they care by providing a workspace that is not only ascetically pleasing, but by focusing on provide a safe environment for them to work in. When employees feel safe and are comfortable in their workspace they are happier and more productive. The company also motivates employees by publically recognizing employees for maintain a safe work record. Employees loved to be recognized for a job well done. It makes them feel special. It also encourages other to perform better so that they can receive recognition as well. The company also give employees bonuses, paid time off, and a trip for having 30,000 consecutive safe work hours. The company realizes that employees greatly motivated by financial rewards as well. Since the reward is tied to safely hours it is less likely to create unethical behavior compare to if the reward was tied to sells. However, employees may fail to record an accident because they do not want to start their numbers of days without an accident count over. As a result they may receive a reward, they do not truly deserve. By using an array of incentive to motivate their employees, the company is trying to ensure they have happy employees. If their employees are happy, then they will be more loyal to the company, be more productive, and are less likely to eave to company for another
