• A by- law by which was created to limit the number of disturbances around the City of Oshawa (City of Oshawa). No one shall ring any bell, blow any horn, shout, or make any unusual or disturbing noise (City of Oshawa).
• Passed on October 4th,1982 (City of Oshawa).
• If the law is contravened in anyway, there will be a $5000 fine for each offence.
• Its area of law is by-law (City of Oshawa).
• Connection to the charter rights: This by-law, so has no connection to the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. as it is a Municipal by-law, nowhere on the Charter does it mention what this by-law is preventing.

• Its area of law is under criminal law and is a part of the public safety ministry act (Government of Canada, 2017)
• Connection to the charter rights: There is no direct relation between this law and the Canadian Charter Rights and Freedoms, as it is not a legal right for a Canadian Citizen to own a firearm. (Pedwell)
• Without the firearm law: Without the firearm law, anyone would be free to purchase a firearm meaning that society could be more dangerous than with the law in place.
PROS CONS
• Keeps the public safe • Harder to obtain fire arms
• People with a criminal background cannot obtain a firearm • Less people are eligible for possessing a firearm
• Less crimes involving firearms • Must not have a history of illegal use
• As a group, we all would vote for both these laws to be passed.
