This new style of writing is the brain-child of Niels Shoe Meulman who is known as shoe within the street art community. Shoe has been tagging since the 70s , wanting to take graffiti writing to a whole new level he set about fusing old school forms of lettering with the wild style of the street. Together with Bondo from Paris and Mode2 from London, he formed the graff crew Crime Time Kings, and started putting Europe on the map for its graffiti writing.
