Education: The Foundation of a Nazi Childhood “He alone, who owns the youth, gains the future.”
--Adolf Hitler Hitler knew what he was talking about. He had a plan and that plan started with the youth of Germany. Children are so impressionable. They believe almost anything and yet question everything. They have very few worries and most have to do with feeling happy and being wanted. The fastest way to get children to believe and think what you want them to think is through their education; their education at home, school and in public. The Nazi party changed the curriculum for children’s education as well as post propaganda through movies, posters, radios, etc. The most effective way to reach the most children is to do it in categories;

The Nazi party knew that they weren’t going to live forever and since they expected this regime to last for decades, they need to start breeding them young so they could grow up to replace the ones that have fallen. The German educational system was altered to fit the needs of the Nazi party. The curriculum changes had the education centered on “physical training, including defensive sports, history, raciology, eugenics and folk sociology”. To include these subjects and give them the proper amount of time to be discussed, other subjects such as mathematics, foreign languages and others were dropped from the curriculum. The Nazi’s were very serious and focused on getting the “true Aryan race” to thrive in Germany. People are less willing to give up information when just asked. Having children do research on their own families, not for means of learning ones family history, but to find out all of the “diseases and oddities” of their families. A line as been crossed long ago. Not only were these children being used, they were being brainwashed with information that they didn’t even know about. For translation exercises, the children would translate sections of Hitler’s Mein Kampf. They were not only copying or speaking these words; they were subconsciously having the ideas and thoughts engrained into their minds. It has always been said that when you write something down you remember it better because you almost read it to yourself as you write. Even more so when what is being written down in is in another language and having to have been translated into German, their native language. The Nazi were against all religions, seeing there own group as a religion in and of itself.
