My Writing Analysis

Improved Essays
I almost never know how to start a essay and it’s introduction, and this time is no different. So far I have sat in front of my computer and procrastinated for about two hours. The introduction is a difficult thing to write, so naturally I tend to wing it like most of my essays.
I tend to write around midnight, it’s very quiet around the house and the outdoors so, it is a very peaceful time to write. I mostly just care about other people not talking and distracting me while I write. I've also turned to writing at night because my internet is very unreliable and tends to be very slow at certain times of the day.
When I write I’m normally on the couch in my living room in my pajamas. With my feet up on the coffee table. It’s actually pretty comfortable, even if it’s some sort of fake leather. I sit on the far left of the couch, closest to the wall plug in because if I don’t my computer will tragically shut down. That’s also why I’m grateful for google doc’s to save everytime I type.

It’s never really a certain type of music on, It could be the latest hit song or a song from 2001. Most of the time I’m too focused on writing and forget there's music blaring in my ear.
I procrastinate a lot when I have to write an essay, but it does help me a lot. I actually get the essay done when I ignore it till midnight. When I procrastinate I normally just check apps on my phone and get stuck in them for hours, or catch up on sleeping so I can do my essay later. Typing up the essay is another way I procrastinate, I don’t have anything planned so it takes a while to get an idea but it does

Like most people who share the state of conciousness, I am prone to day dream. I often float away on the soft clouds of my fantasies, drifting high above reality in the vast blue sky. As a writer, these fanciful mental journeys sometimes lead me to imagine what my perfect writing environment would look like. I am not alone in this wistful contemplation; many other authors, painters, and musicians join me in exploring this mental path, each envisioning their own versions of the ideal creative escape. Some yearn for extravagant spaces, like a sprawling historical library, or a high tech office.…

Stories are essentially “the most agreeable way of ignoring life” (Pessoa). In addition to the stories, I listen to music as I drift into my beauty sleep. Music, itself, has it’s own story and emotions, therefore it is a form of literature. Along with my stories, music is a great stress reliever. The musical component adds to my stories, which brings everything together into a great master piece; it seems more like a movie.…

Every writer has wondered why they practice their craft, including myself. School has always been where the majority of my writing endeavors have taken place. I often fear that if I were not graded on my assignments, if I was free to submit whatever quality of work I chose, that I would not be a good writer. The doubt in my mind tells me that I write only for getting good grades, but that is not true. While school is a factor, I write mainly because I enjoy it, and because it is a place where I can organize and extend my thinking.…
