Over this past semester I have gained a substantial amount of knowledge and experience that I can and will use in my future career as a teacher. I attempted to use the knowledge that I had learned in class in my field experience at the Tri-County Career Center to improve on my teaching skills and overall professionalism. In retrospective, I feel as though I have really made some progress as to becoming a teacher but there were areas in some of the teaching dispositions that I need more improvement on. I will address both my strengths and weaknesses in each of the four teaching dispositions that we have discussed in class in this paper. My goal as ta future teacher is to provide a quality education for all my students, meaning that the students are receiving the information and teaching needed for them to become the quality adults they need to be in the future. I am one hundred percent for inclusion of students who would benefit most from it. I want my classroom to be inviting for all my students. I want them to feel comfortable in school and in my class. The most important role of a teacher is being a positive role model. I will strive to create great rapport with my students because it opens the gate to maximum learning. I will strive to know the most I can about what I will be teaching my students so I can put them in the best position to utilize the skills throughout life. I realize that not all students learn the same or at the same pace. Having an inclusive classroom will be no easy task but it is a necessary one in my opinion. I think that for this reason having an inclusive class will benefit all my students. It will teach them that the world isn’t full of people that are exactly like them. There is a wide variety of people and learners out there and getting people to work together will help them in the long run. It is my responsibility to modify and accommodate my students in any means necessary for their success in my class and growth and an individual. I will encounter a wide variety of learners in my future and it is my duty to take what I have learned from the teaching dispositions and my experience so far in my schooling to benefit all my students. I will do this by becoming engaged in their lives, committed to their constant growth, mindful of their learning styles, aware of emotions, involved in the community, dedicated to self and student reflection, and faithful to the idea of creating an positive learning environment for
