Music Synthesis Essay

It’s amazing how a few words mixed in with some sound can make you feel a certain way. It also amazing how different beats can give you a different feeling. Music is one of the few things in this world that everyone can relate to in one way or another. It may not be the same song or genre, that would work for you compared to another person. But, the point is somewhere in the music world there is a song that you can relate to. There's been a song that's I’ve always been able to relate to, no matter how long it’s been since I had first listened to which is a song by Drake : Now and Forever. The song Now and Forever by drake was released on February 13, 2015 on his ninth album : If You’re Reading This Now It’s Too Late. For the past few years there’s been nothing but ambient negativity around me, which is one of the reasons for me graduating early. It’s one of those songs that makes me want to sequester myself away from the world, and think about what needs to be accomplish. Another one of my favorite lyrics in the song is “I gotta go out and get it, want you to know what I did, want you to know how it went. That's why I keep telling you over and over again, just let me go”. These 5 bars blur the line between reality and fiction, it describes the situation where someone is holding me or in this case the artist Drake back. Stopping both him and I from exploring the world and creating my own legacy. The lyrics explain the way of diffusing the situation, if you let me go, I will bring the spoils of victory back for you. This song explains the onerous tasks I’ve had in life growing up without a father, and how I will better myself.
