Becoming a pharmacist is the perfect match for me because pharmacists are key players in a wide variety of health care settings, and play a critical role in the medication management for patients. Pharmacists are vital health care professionals that help people to achieve positive results from their medications. I believe that by becoming a pharmacist, I can help patients feel better and get well as quickly as possible. I plan to receive my Doctorate of Pharmacy. In order to achieve this goal, I will invest seven years of my life in higher education. It is necessary for me to acquire a college education in order to be satisfied with my future. By obtaining a college education, I will gain a better knowledge of the world and achieve financial stability. Without an education, I would not be able to fulfill my dream of becoming a pharmacist. College is important to me because it will not only open doors of opportunities, but help me to have a better quality of life, and obtain my dream

August 25, 2012, was the day I had finally made the A-team for volleyball after frequently being told I was not exceptional enough. Before my family migrated to America from Vietnam when I was twelve, we were living in a society where health was not an everyday issue or concern. Vietnam was a society where the poor had low access to health care, thus creating an indifference toward their health that resulted in many deaths from diseases. The Vietnamese economy went through a depression during the war, making medical instruments rare and expensive, and ultimately resulted in a gradual decline in health education. My desire to be pharmacist arose when I learned that these diseases were treatable, curable, and preventable with proper care and services from trained personnel.…
