Who she was became a mystery after her body was discovered inside a coffin, peering through the glass window, buried deeply beneath a home's garage in San Francisco, California, according to SFGATE.
The girl wearing a white dress on her preserved body, was believed to be in the ground for 145 years. The child appeared to be around three year's old at the time of her death.

FOX 26 reported the little girl was called Miranda Eve until her true identity could be discovered. After an 11-month-long investigation, Edith Howard Cook was named as the perfectly preserved child found under a garage. A relative was located, and Peter Cook's DNA test helped to confirm who the child was. Davey stated:
"At the end of April, Ed Green of U-C Davis said that he could pretty much guarantee 100 percent that Edith Howard Cook and Peter Cook are related. And Miranda is Edith Howard Cook. A feat that everybody thought couldn't be done."
Miranda Eve was reburied last year thanks to Garden of Innocence, but Davey's determination to find out who the girl in the coffin really was did not stop:
"We fought hard to give her her name. We can now let her rest in peace with the company of knowing who she is and hopefully people will visit her."
A memorial service for Edith Howard Cook is set to happen on June 10th in Colma,
