Mentorship Program and Ford In 1903 Henry Ford created the Ford Motor Company and with the assembly line, the company was to become unmatched. With the introduction of the Model T in 1908, Ford succeeded in his mission to produce an affordable, efficient and reliable automobile for everyone: within a decade, nearly half the cars in America were Model Ts (Ford Motor Company Incorporated). Ford Motors manufactures some of the most popular vehicles in the world that are safe and conveniently built. From the beginning Ford Motors have led the way in the automotive industry. The success of this great company could not have been attained without the hard work of the workers, this is evident in their vision, Ford’s vision “People working together as a lean, global enterprise to make people’s lives better through automotive and mobility leadership”. Ford recognizes that the vision to achieve automotive and mobility leadership can only be achieved though self-driven teams. Since the workers are the source of success in any company then it is very important that workers are working till their full potential. Mentorship is a great tool for anyone who wants to become proficient and successful in his or her trade. Having a mentor can elevate your professional capabilities exponentially (Scivicque, 2011).
